Emerging biopharma and biotech companies are frequently faced with complex challenges related to the design and launch of a new clinical development program. Historically, small-company clinical programs have had a lower rate of success than their larger
counterparts due to a variety of reported factors such as limited internal resources, lack of infrastructure, delays in manufacturing and clinical supply, and funding concerns. To achieve success, these companies must focus their resources on small,
less-costly development programs for very specific targets and must develop new, innovative approaches to survive. Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Inaugural Building New Clinical Programs, Teams, and Ops in Small Biopharma conference
is designed to share the experiences and successes of emerging biopharma and biotech executives. From study start-up tasks and feasibility assessments, to building a decentralized trial model approach, and deciding when and if to partner, this year's
program will feature lessons learned, successes, and innovative approaches for achieving efficient, and lean clinical trials.
Coverage will include, but is not limited to:
- Implementing a decentralized clinical trial model to help achieve new levels of efficiency
- Developing a successful patient recruitment and retention strategy
- Reviewing key considerations surrounding site selection and site activation
- Improving data collection methods with insights into data mining, quality, collection, and analysis
- Building a sound and resilient partnership and outsourcing strategy
- Achieving economies of scale with a well-established distribution network and infrastructure
- Launching a clinical feasibility assessment for dissecting and implementing proper protocol and for ensuring compliance
- Navigating the investment and funding landscape
The deadline for priority consideration is June 25, 2022.
All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
